This is John Hirst, the ex-prisoner who styles himself jailhouselawyer on Youtube and whose appeal to the European Court of Human Rights resulted in the UK government finally agreeing to allow prisoners to vote. He killed his landlady with an axe through the head while she watched television. Here he takes his opponents to task for "moralising".
Unfortunately this change will apply to the Scottish Parliament vote next year, as election law is reserved to Westminster and the protocol on which this complex case rests was signed by the British government. I have more to say on this - in particular the role of the Liberal Democrats who are extremely enthusiastic supporters of Hirst's campaign. But for that you will need to read The Scotsman tomorrow.
I take it that this vile man is free now, unlike his victim. He can afford Champers and drugs and seems to be enjoying life, unlike his victim.
And the MSM are clambering to talk to him???

Obnoxious man - obviously he considers the landladies head was in his way.
Seems a strange right to me - take or ruin a life and have the time to register a vote?
